Barry Shaw took a stroll onto Saltersley Moss (86A SJ819806) and reports seeing Common Hawker and plenty of Black Darter.

Whilst out and about along the Peak Forest Canal near Disley (98X SJ991847) I spotted a male Southern Hawker busy hawking along the banks.

Down at Little Budworth Common (56Y SJ585661) Susan Loose saw Southern Hawker and Common Darter flying.

The sunshine brought our several species at Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513), and Bob Bradshaw reports seeing Common Blue Damselfly, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Brown Hawker, and Southern Hawker.

My new garden pond in Macclesfield (87W SJ895735) continues to attract dragonflies. Today a male Southern Hawker took to patrolling the perimeter for most of the afternoon. On Lindow Moss (88F SJ822804) Trisha Thompson found abundant Black Darter and a few Common Hawker including a couple of ovipositing females.

On a fine, sunny afternoon I took a stroll onto Danes Moss (97A SJ909706) where there were lots of female Black Darter basking on the handrails at the railway bridge. Meanwhile at Anderton Nature Park (67M SJ651751) Pete Leicester found several Brown Hawker, Migrant Hawker, lots of Common Darter and a few Blue-tailed Damselfly.

Over at Rixton Claypits (69V SJ685907) Ben Smart spotted male Black Darter, Common Darter and lots of Brown Hawker. Meanwhile, Trisha Thompson went to Wilkins Lane, Styal (88H SJ831843) and found both Brown Hawker and Migrant Hawker ovipositing.

Bob Bradshaw reports Brown Hawker, Common Darter and Blue-tailed Damselfly at Stapeley Water Gardens (65Q SJ666513) over the weekend. At Vale Royal Locks (66P SJ643698) Mat Bingham found several Blue-tailed Damselfly, three Brown Hawker, and a Migrant Hawker. Moving on to Anderton Nature Park (67M SJ651752) he saw plenty of Common Darter and a few Brown Hawker.

At a field pond in Burton (56B SJ508637) Susan Loose spotted a male Ruddy Darter and a male Emerald Damselfly.
