Richard Gabb called at Danes Moss (97A SJ905704) this morning and found a few Common Darter flying and basking in the sunshine.

Whilst walking on the canal towpath at Middlewood (98M SJ951846) this morning I was treated to the sight of a male Southern Hawker feeding along the hedgerows before it stopped for a rest and I was able to grab a photograph. It was in lovely condition with no obvious wing damage.

On a rather dull day Steve Hind reports a male Southern Hawker from Higher Poynton (98P SJ945838) this afternoon.

At Danes Moss (97A SJ905704) today Richard Gabb found Black Darter and also saw an unidentified dragonfly that was either Common Hawker or Southern Hawker.

There were still Common Darter flying at Rossmere (88F SJ821811) when Richard Gabb visited.

Today at Abney Park (88U SJ860890) Chris Storey saw a few Common Darter and a single ovipositing Southern Hawker.
