As the summery weather continued Chris Storey visited Tatton Park (78L SJ754820) and found Emerald Damselfly, Southern Hawker, and ovipositing Common Darter

Chris Storey reports Common Darter flying in the gardens at Quarry Bank Mill (88G SJ831832).

A male Common Hawker was feeding along the Middlewood Way (98M SJ945844) this morning. This is the first time I have seen this species in this area.

There is still the occasional Brown Hawker to be seen along the Macclesfield Canal (98L SJ948839).

Two Common Darter were flying at Middlewood (98M SJ947847) today.

Roy Lowry saw a male Migrant Hawker at Burton Mere (37B SJ312736).

At Abbot's Moss (56Z SJ593686) Peter Snape found plenty of Black Darter today.

Colin Millington reports several Migrant Hawker on the pond at Thurstaston (28H SJ229840).

There was plenty of activity on the fishing pool at Norley (57R SJ567734) when Pete Leicester visited. He found plenty of Blue-tailed Damselfly, Common Darter, and Migrant Hawker and single male Southern Hawker and, surprisingly, Common Hawker.

Pete Leicester took a stroll around the Northwich Community Woodlands and reports from a number of locations. Starting at the Marbury Park scrape (67N SJ655761) he found just a few Common Darter, and moving on to Neumann's Flash (67S SJ664753) there were Common Darter, Migrant Hawker, and Southern Hawker. Back along the Weaver toward Anderton Nature Park (67M SJ655749) he saw plenty of Common Darter and Migrant Hawker, and a couple of Brown Hawker.

Tatton Park (78L SJ754820) was the destination for Chris Storey who found on one of the ponds a few Common Blue Damselfly and lots of Emerald Damselfly. There were good numbers of Brown Hawker, Migrant Hawker, Common Darter, and Ruddy Darter.

At Burton Mere (37B SJ313736) Roy Lowry was amazed by the sheer numbers of Common Darter. He says that at times
it looked like the deck of an aircraft carrier!
